As the Principal of Park Ridge Primary School, I wake up every morning wanting to come to school.  Park Ridge is vibrant, innovative and fun. I am very passionate about providing the conditions for our students to develop a true lifelong love of learning and to achieve their full potential intellectually, socially and emotionally. I believe that wellbeing is an important part of life and learning and I strive to ensure all of our students enjoy a positive school experience. As an educational leader, I am passionate about building teacher capacity to learn, teach and lead and improving student learning outcomes for all students.

I am very fortunate to be the Assistant Principal at Park Ridge Primary School.  I have had many different roles in my career here, from Foundation to Year 6 and utilise all of these skills in my role.  I believe in education we need to focus on the whole child, both academic and social, forming strong relationships with students, families and the community and showing students we care about them as people.

Park Ridge a fantastic school and I feel very privileged to be working alongside such a dedicated group of teachers and staff.  I have loved the opportunity to use my vast knowledge of Literacy teaching to assist our students develop their skills and knowledge, but to also feel proud of their accomplishments.  Every students deserves a great education and they will receive that at Park Ridge Primary School.

Working at Park Ridge in the office is such a rewarding experience, what I love most about PRPS is how friendly the students and their families are. I think we have a great school that promotes high quality teaching and learning. Outside of school time I enjoy camping with my family and catching up with friends.

I really enjoy my position at Park Ridge Primary School. Every day is different, from looking after students in First Aid to helping Parents and Carers through the enrolment process. We strive to help our families feel welcome and supported as part of the Park Ridge Community.

I have been part of the Park Ridge Administration team for five years and have enjoyed every moment, building friendships with the children and their families as they journey through their Primary school years is very rewarding.   I feel privileged to be part of the education of Students at PRPS.  When I’m not at Park Ridge I enjoy being in the great outdoors and spending time with my family.

I enjoy getting to know each of my students, learning what makes them tick and how I can help them achieve their best. Both at school and away from school I enjoy gardening, especially food crops and I love spending time with the animals I care for.

Park Ridge is a fantastic place to be because of the wonderful community and culture, which hasn’t changed since I attended the school as a child. In my classroom I promote a culture of curiosity; empowering my students to be academic risk takers and most importantly, to have fun and love learning.

Park Ridge Primary School is a fabulous school because of the enthusiastic and polite students, supportive parents and the caring and friendly staff. There are so many opportunities for students to follow their interests, whether it is coding, gardening, music or the many sporting activities. Students love learning and the incursions, excursions, special days, sleepovers and camps offered at our school.

Park Ridge was a wonderful environment 14 years ago when I was a student and it remains and always will remain a wonderful environment to be a part of. I am incredibly proud to work at a school where the students, staff and parents are all valued. As a teacher, nothing beats seeing that ‘lightbulb’ moment in students, where they have discovered new ideas and are constantly growing, learning, adapting and questioning.

Being the PE at Park Ridge is extremely fulfilling. As a former student of the school, what draws me in to Park Ridge is the sense of community, this place just feels like home. The thing I love about this school is that every single student’s successes are celebrated. I love teaching Indonesian.  It’s a real buzz watching and listening to the kids give it a go and seeing the looks on their faces when they realise they can do it.  I have a particular passion for teaching the diverse culture of Indonesia.  This leads to a greater understanding from the students of diversity and inclusiveness within our own society.

As a new teacher at Park Ridge in 2019, I have been fortunate enough to be given to opportunity to take on a new and exciting role this year as Performing Arts Teacher.  Music has allowed me to provide students with a safe and fun environment for them to explore performing arts, take risks and grow and develop in many ways.  I love music and am happy to share my passion with students of all ages.
